Our History
Since 1989, we have been growing roots in Edmonton's communities.
We launched Little Green Thumbs in 2005, bringing hands-on food education directly into classrooms, and expanded our reach in 2009 by building the Community Garden Network across the city.
In 2011, we became Sustainable Food Edmonton β a name that reflects who we are and what we stand for.
Most recently, in 2023, we took on stewardship of the McCauley Community Orchard and Gardens, putting fresh, locally grown food at the heart of downtown Edmonton.
