With a heavy heart, we inform our friends and community of the departure of Carla Meyer from Sustainable Food Edmonton. We have some words from her which we wish to share.
"In addition to the seasons, there are other changes in the air here at Sustainable Food Edmonton. A new Executive Director at Sustainable Food Edmonton in the next while will soon be followed by a new Community Garden Facilitator too. Over the past four summers, I have had the incredible opportunity to get to know a lot of you a little better, and some of you a lot better! It has been such a wonderful, heart-warming, and inspirational experience to see your gardens and groups grow and evolve. I am grateful to each and every one of you for allowing me the lovely privilege to accompany you along the garden path. But, the time is right for me to step aside and make way for new perspectives and fresh enthusiasm to guide the community garden program into the next phase, and so, as of September 1, I will be moving on to new challenges and opportunities. My future plans involve continuing contributions to my family transportation company and developing my own living roof business.
